Dutch Jazz Night
One showcase night in a big theatre hall in which the 15 Dutch musicians will be featured to a large audience as well as to the entire network of decision makers from the hosting country. The audience will consist of two target groups. The first group will consist of representatives of the entire jazz network of the inviting country and will include jazz venues, performing arts centres, theatre- and other venue representatives, jazz societies, promoters, festival organisers, majors and independent record companies, representatives for distribution and licensing, publishers, copyright organisations, neighbouring rights organisations, printed and internet media for jazz, local / regional / national government organisations concerning arts and culture, embassy representatives, the Dutch community in residence and Dutch-oriented companies active in the region, Dutch business points of the NTO (Netherlands Trade Organisation), etc. This expected target group will consist of around 150 persons. The second target group will be jazz-enthusiasts granted the unique opportunity to see this special event. The show will be marketed as a ‘normal’ audience show and people will have to buy a ticket to attend.
The showcase will consist of each musician highlighted in their own short performance accompanied by an choice of the other musicians. Each showcase will end with all 15 artists performing together on stage- -the grand finale. The showcase will be hosted both by a Dutch musician / performer who already has forged some success in the inviting country, and a renowned figure from the host country. During the day program these hosts will introduce members of the Dutch delegation to the Jazz network.
