Dutch Jazz Agency
Welcome to the Dutch Jazz Agency website, a new non-profit initiative and tool to promote and facilitate Dutch Jazz all over the world. The Dutch Jazz Agency is an initiative of Foundation JazzNL, also initiator of the Dutch Jazzday and the Gateway to Global Jazz event. The Dutch Jazz Agency hosts the Dutch Jazz Expedition, an initiative to connect jazznetworks all over the world with the Dutch jazzscene and music. A Jazzexpedition is a program with various elements e.g. The Dutch Jazz Night, The Jazz Blend band, Jazz Network, Jazz Session, Jazz Workshops and Jazz lectures. The Dutch Jazz Agency acts as a production house itself and creates all artistic projects and products together with the paticipating musicians and authors.
The Dutch Jazz Agency is a one stop shop to connect to the Dutch Jazz network. Our worldwide partners are embassies, multinationals, jazz venues, performing arts centres, theatre- and other venue representatives, jazz societies, promoters, festival organisers. The Dutch Jazz Agency is active in all musical jazz styles such as contemporary jazz, latin jazz, jazz dance, jazz lounge, vocals jazz, big band jazz, world jazz, free jazz and any other form of jazz. We handle tours for small groups as well as multiple acts for international festivals and programs.
Why do we need Dutch Jazz as an Export Product?
When you look at the possibilities for Dutch music ‘exportable’ to other parts of the world, jazz music is in a leading position considering there is a very large population of Dutch professional jazz musicians, a superb educational system and the Dutch infrastructure (the broad range of venues and events) allows musicians to experiment, thus to develop a unique style and distinct approach to composition. Also Jazz is part of the Dutch culture and cultural programs and universal in time and place.
