Relief for Thailand’s Flood Victims
Saturday the 5th of November 2011 a Charity Concert was held at Siverlake Vineyard / Pattaya, initiated by the International Jazz Festival Alliance Foundation. The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangkok presented direct from Holland the Dutch Swing College Band – the best Dixieland in Europe! They are labeled the best swing band since 1945, known as a true world famous jazz- ensemble that have toured all five continents to much acclaim, furthermore highly influence the Dutch jazz scene and are considered almost as an institution.
All proceeds were donated to the Chonburi Evacuation Center in the name of Chonburi Province through the Governor of Pattaya, Mr. Wichit Chartpaisit, to aid the people from this natural devastation.
Due to a great succes in fall of 2010, another expedition to Thailand was set up in fall 2011.
